She is professor of Science Education at MU in the Department of Learning, Teaching, and Curriculum, and will be conducting professional development using the learning modules developed in Years 1-4 on the Education Team, and fine-tuning them with teacher input, and performing assessments.

Dr. ZhiQiang Chen is an Associate Professor in the UMKC School of Computing and Engineering. He is the PI on a seed grant funded by the Missouri Transect. His expertise are in soil-structure systems and multihazard life-cycle analysis, physical modeling and dynamic system identification, remote sensing and geoinformatics, digital imaging and machine vision for disaster scene understanding, crowdsourcing design for emergency response, and collaborative mobile-cloud computing.

Majed El-Dweik is an Assistant Professor of Physics at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. He is the lead on a Track-1 seed grant to develop a model to predict climate change variability on plants and communities in central Missouri through prediction of changes to rainfall-runoff relationships.

Dr. Michael Goerndt is an Assistant Professor in the Darr School of Agriculture at Missouri State University. He will use hyperspectral sensor and camera system installed on UAS equipment to develop and assess methodology for spatial modeling and monitoring of vegetative response to regional and localized fluctuations in climate and seasonality.

Dr. Vasit Sagan (a.k.a. Wasit Wulamu) is Assistant Professor of Geographic Information Science in the Center for Sustainability at Saint Louis University. He received a Missouri Transect seed grant in August 2015 to develop new methods for monitoring crop growth and management using UAS technology.

Simone Silvestri is Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at MST. He received a Missouri Transect Seed Grant in August 2015. He will create a framework for UAV to increase accuracy while reducing operational costs.

Rogers provides radiotracer support for tracers that are labeled with radiometals. Model 1, works with Drs. Jurisson, Lever, and Tai on the possible evaluation of PET radiometals to determine micronutrient movement in models determined by Drs. Mendoza and Lorence. For Radiochemistry and Radioimaging cluster, works with Drs. Jurisson, Lever, and Tai and novel radiochemistry synthesis, transfer of methods, and PET imaging studies.
