Saint Louis Science Center

Missouri Transect will fund the design and construction of a permanent, outdoor interactive science exhibit at the Saint Louis Science Center. The exhibit will be one of the sustained legacies of the Missouri Transect and will present a dynamic living entity that will help communicate scientific discoveries related to the intersection of climate, plants, and community. It also will serve as a sustained nexus for community outreach and citizen science programs both in St. Louis and throughout the state. The Saint Louis Science Center (SLSC) is a 300,000 square foot complex comprised of a science museum, Exploradome, Omnimax theater, exhibition hall and planetarium in the Forest Park neighborhood of St. Louis, MO. It is one of the largest and top-rated interactive science centers of its kind in the country. SLSC welcomes over 1 million visitors each year, with another 200,000 served through offsite programs at schools and in communities. Admission to SLSC is free to the public through the Metropolitan Zoological Park and Museum District subsidy.
